This Church began meeting in a family home in 1869 before a building was built in 1878. In the 150+ years of being a church home in one form or another, thousands of lives have been nurtured and challenged to live out their discipleship
in the name of Christ. Today, the nurturing and challenging continues. Together, we of the Silver Lake United Methodist Church honor and celebrate the heritage of the past, the many tasks of ministry in the present, and the bold challenges
which lie ahead in the future. God continues to call forth, in this place, a people…to worship, learn, grow and serve in the name of the One who came that we might have life, and have it abundantly. With God’s help, our Church will
always be a powerful witness to this community and beyond…and we will move boldly into the future. With Open Minds, Open Hearts, and Open Doors.
