Our Fellowship Meal on Wednesday evenings is a great way to meet new people within our church family and have an opportunity to talk and fellowship with friends who may attend a different church in Silver Lake. That's right, this is not really much of a church event, as it is a community event. Everyone is invited to come together on Wednesday evenings to enjoy a meal prepared in our kitchen, by fabulous volunteers. We accept a free will offering for the meals, and often it is designated to a particular organization or ministry.
It’s also a convenient way to streamline and simplify Wednesday evenings after work and school. It’s really nice to have a hot meal waiting when you walk in and know that someone else will even do the dishes! The meal is served from 5:30 – 6:30 PM on Wednesdays in Fellowship Hall.
When you support our Wednesday Meals, you not only support your local church and it's many Missions, you also support our local community. Many times throughout the year we dedicate the free-will offering donated for the meals to worthy organizations, for example the Silver Lake Public Library.
If you would like your organization or group to host a meal, and raise funds to support your projects, contact our church office, and we may be able to help! The Wednesday Meals usually take a break during the summer months so our dedicated volunteers can have a break, but once the school year begins again, the food is hot and ready by 5:30 pm on Wednesday evenings.
