Adult Studies and Fellowship
We provide several opportunities for adults to learn, grow, and study together.
XYZ (eXtra Years of Zest) is for the older adult. This group meets periodically and includes lunch and a guest speaker.
For more information please see the Church Calendar or contact Donna Kampmeier. While not an actual class for study, the gatherings offer a great way to fellowship with others from our community.
Homebuilders is the Adult Sunday Morning Sunday School class that meets every Sunday at 9:00 A.M. This class has been meeting the longest at Silver Lake United Methodist Church, and continues to disciple new witnesses of our faith each Sunday. The study and leader change so feel free to come and learn something new. For more information, please contact Lou Snider.
Brothers And Sisters In Christ
The BASIC classes are divided into two groups;
BASIC I is for parents of school-aged children (single or married), and couples/singles without children.
BASIC II is for parents of adult children and is led by Sue Streeter.
The focus of the groups is a small group format for friendship and fellowship to allow church members to deepen their faith. The BASIC classes organize semi-annual community service projects to give church members the opportunity to spread the word of Christ in the community. They are strong believers that "Faith without works is dead".
